If my memory is correct, Myron was a song leader for revival meetings in the Oak Grove Mennonite Church, West Liberty, Ohio, when the 1950 blizzard hit–the cause for postponing the wedding in Elida. As a teenager and young adult, I fondly remember the tent-meetings and sermons I heard. What an impression they made! They strongly influenced my understanding of the Christian life and work of the Holy Spirit. Thank you!

I am still embarrassed to recall my tardiness in meeting Myron at the Lima train station when as a high school student in West Liberty, Ohio, I ‘d been trusted by my pastor father to pick him up early on Sunday morning. As teeners do, I slept in, then “flew low” to get to the station, only to find Myron standing patiently there.

Someone forwarded this page to me so I’ll add to the congratulations and expressions of appreciation for our years – about ten I guess – working together in the Inter-Church days with crusades I usually describe as from Groton, CT on the east to Albany, OR in the north-west to Miami, FL and a lot of places in between. I’ll have to look up what Hege is describing as something for Biden. Yes, both of you have covered a lot of ground over these years. and glad for your health to be described as good. Naturally I miss dear Anne after a little over a year having been called Home. She was so very tired all the time and now she is at rest. i expect to see her again at the appointed time. Blessings on you both…our trust in Jesus.

It was so lovely to read this article and see the photos. I was a student at (then)EMC while Myron was President of the college. In the 80’s I lived in DC and was a member of Washington Community Fellowship. It was a privilege and joy to get to know both Myron and Esther as friends and pastoral leaders. Many fond memories are flowing!

I went to EMC in early 60s. Got a double major in Bible and El Ed. Taught school in public school system, keep pastoring the Marion Church, and now living in a senior living center.
