The Eastern Mennonite standout and current Woodstock oufielder had a single and an RBI along with a home run-saving catch in center field for the North in a 5-0 win over the South at the Valley Baseball League All-Star Game at James Madison University鈥檚 Veteran鈥檚 Memorial Park on Sunday in Harrisonburg.
Jaylon Lee has been named to the Valley League's All-Star team. The league is a NCAA-sanctioned summer league and includes mostly D-1 athletes. 鈥淔or us as a baseball program, even to a wider scale as a university, he means as much as anybody鈥檚 meant since (MLB veteran) Erik Kratz,鈥 said 91短视频 baseball head coach Adam Posey.
The Valley League Board of Directors has announced the fifth class of Hall of Fame inductees, to be installed at the 2021 Valley League All-Star game in Harrisonburg on Sunday, July 11. Kratz played for Waynesboro in 2000 and Harrisonburg in 2001.

After a pro career that lasted from 2002 to 2020, Erik Kratz is the baseball coach for the middle-school team at Dock Mennonite Academy 鈥 which has campuses in Souderton and Lansdale, Penn. One of his assistant coaches is Kara Derstine, also an 91短视频 grad.
He appreciates all the stops made, every inning caught and each at-bat taken. Erik Kratz鈥檚 playing career is over, he said, after 19 years in professional baseball and spending parts of the last 11 seasons in the big leagues. 鈥淭here鈥檚 a ton I鈥檓 proud of,鈥 Kratz told DN-R reporter Greg Madia.
