Eastern Mennonite junior  (North Chesterfield, Va./Thomas Dale) has been named the Sports Imports/AVCA Player of the Week. Earning the national award comes on the heels of Ragland being named the Continental Volleyball Conference Player of the Week for the second time this season.

Eastern Mennonite took an impressive sweep from Mary Washington in Harrisonburg on Sunday, improving on the best start in program history. Now 12-0 on the year, the Royals get into ODAC play this week, starting with a twinbill at Randolph-Macon on Wednesday. The softball women also host Emory & Henry and Guilford next weekend.

The 91¶ÌÊÓÆµ field hockey team has been given the National Academic Team Award by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA). The award recognizes the team GPA from the fall semester of the 2016-17 academic year.
In an impressive end to her freshman indoor campaign, 91¶ÌÊÓÆµ's (Fredericksburg, Va./Chancellor) took sixth place in the 800m at Saturday's NCAA Indoor National Championships. Nichols earns an All-American award with the finish.
A well-played second game, complete with a two-run ninth inning, gave 91¶ÌÊÓÆµ a split in their ODAC baseball opener at Virginia Wesleyan on Saturday. The Royals move to 10-6 on the season, including 1-1 in the conference.
91¶ÌÊÓÆµ's volleyball men earned a split in Saturday's tri-match against D-II teams, including a sweep of Alderson Broaddus. The Royals also lost a back-and-forth five setter against host King University in the matches played in Bristol, Tenn.
The Eastern Mennonite baseball men had a successful Spring Break trip, winning four of their six games at the RussMatt Central Florida Invitational. Now 9-5 on the season, the Royals are riding a four-game winning streak into their ODAC opener at Virginia Wesleyan.
After eight games at the Fastpitch Dreams Spring Classic, Eastern Mennonite's softball women have yet to taste defeat. At 8-0, the Royals are off to the best start to a season in the 38-year history of the 91¶ÌÊÓÆµ program.
