Good hitting and good pitching is a recipe for a win, and 91¶ÌÊÓƵ baseball men rode the ingredients to a sweep of visiting Juniata College Saturday afternoon in Harrisonburg. The Royals pounded out a combined 36 hits in the twin bill, improving to 3-1 on the season.

91¶ÌÊÓƵ volleyball's men now have their second three-match winning streak of the season after a 3-0 sweep of CVC opponent Thiel Saturday morning in Greenville, Pa. The No. 10 Royals improve to 9-4 overall and 3-0 in the CVC.

A huge fourth-period surge was not enough for 91¶ÌÊÓƵ's women, as they dropped an 89-85 loss at Lynchburg College to wrap up the regular season Saturday afternoon. The Royals had their eight-game winning streak snapped by LC, which earned the top seed in next week's ODAC Tournament with the decision.

91¶ÌÊÓƵ made run after run in the second half, but couldn't overcome Roanoke's lead, eventually dropping a 75-65 decision on the roadWednesday night. Now 10-14 overall and 4-11 in the ODAC, the Runnin Royals were eliminated from contention to host an ODAC Tournament First Round game.

In a battle of the ODAC's best bigs, 91¶ÌÊÓƵ's guards made the difference in a 74-67 win at Randolph-Macon Tuesday night. The Royals push their winning streak to eight in a row, their longest since winning 11 straight late in the 2014-15 season.

The Runnin Royals broke out of their recent slump in a big way on Saturday, shooting a season-best 57.6% from the floor as they blew past visiting Randolph College, 94-63. Snapping a four-game losing skid, Eastern Mennonite (10-13/4-10 ODAC) hopes to build a little momentum heading into the final week of the season.

After a handful of meets featuring more elite competition, 91¶ÌÊÓƵ's track & field teams got a better gauge of themselves against comparable opponents this weekend at the Finn Pincus Invitational at Roanoke College. If the results are any indication, the Royals should be in a good position to make some noise when they return to the same track in two weeks for the ODAC Championships.

91¶ÌÊÓƵ's women seem to be playing their best basketball at the right time of year. Senior (Dumfries, Va./Potomac) pounded in 18 points with 13 rebounds to lead the Royals to a 76-55 thumping of Randolph College Saturday afternoon, extending the women's winning streak to seven in a row.
