The 91¶ÌÊÓÆµ women never covered from a cold start Wednesday evening in the nation's capital, suffering a 78-42 loss at Catholic University of America. The powerful Cardinals (5-0) had been receiving votes in the most recent D3hoops.com national poll.

Playing with a young squad in their season opener, 91¶ÌÊÓÆµ's basketball women gave nationally-ranked Christopher Newport all they could handle before falling 63-50 at home Saturday evening. The Royals held No. 15 CNU to just 25 second-half points but couldn't overcome their halftime deficit.

Franconia and Eastern District conferences of Mennonite Church USA will form a team to work with consultants David Brubaker and Roxy Kioko from 91¶ÌÊÓÆµ, beginning in January, to explore reconciliation, with the possibility of becoming a reunited conference.
