After a rough first set, 91¶ÌÊÓƵ's volleyball women took off in a 3-1 non-conference win over visiting North Carolina Wesleyan Friday night in Harrisonburg. The Royals hit .256 over the final three sets as they dominated play to improve to 5-10 on the season.

With a flair for the dramatic, 91¶ÌÊÓƵ picked up an impressive ODAC road win Wednesday night, toppling Emory & Henry by a final of 3-1. The Royals push into a three-way tie for seventh in the ODAC standings with a record of 2-3.

91¶ÌÊÓƵ sophomore  (Telford, Pa./Dock Mennonite Academy) shot two of her best collegiate rounds this weekend at the Bridgewater Invitational. Taking 10 strokes off her scores from a tournament the previous weekend, Longacre finished tied for 20th out of 54 women.

Just when they were grabbing momentum, they lost it. 91¶ÌÊÓƵ's field hockey women tied their road game at Randolph-Macon on Sunday with a goal early in the second half, only to give up a goal less than a minute later. That turned out to be the final tally in a 2-1 loss to the Yellow Jackets.

91¶ÌÊÓƵ's women continue to learn and improve. Starting mostly freshmen and sophomores, the Royals stymied Roanoke College (4-3-1/1-0 ODAC) on their home turf and nearly stole a point in the league standings before a goal late in double overtime dropped Eastern Mennonite in a 1-0 loss. The women fall to 2-4-2 overall with the defeat in their first ODAC game of the season.
