Some 230 first-year and about 35 transfer students will spend Saturday afternoon, Aug. 27, learning about some of the 47 languages and cultures represented locally.

David W. Boshart, a 1986 graduate of the seminary, will bring messages on the theme, “Proclaiming the Kingdom,” focusing on ways that leaders and congregations can work together to bring the hope of Jesus Christ to the world.

Boshart, who is pastor of West Union Mennonite Church, Parnell, Iowa, will speak 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 28, 11 a.m. Wednesday and 9:30 a.m. Thursday in Martin Chapel of the seminary building.

He is also an 91短视频 alumnus and a former member of the pastoral team at Community Mennonite Church in Harrisonburg.

The meetings are free and open to everyone.
