They will wear gold and blue cords during the graduation ceremony on Sunday, May 5.<\/p>\n<aside class=\"highlight highlight-right\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.emu.edu\/commencement\">View 91短视频 Commencement information.<\/a><\/aside>\n<p>Faculty, staff and fellow students nominated the recipients, who were cited for their \u201csignificant and verifiable impact\u201d on the university and on student life; for their contributions to developing the institution\u2019s positive image; for substantial contributions to the Harrisonburg\/Rockingham County area and beyond; for their high academic and social standing; and their embodiment of 91短视频\u2019s shared values of Christian discipleship, community, service and peacebuilding.<\/p>\n<p>The cords are blue and gold. Blue represents strength of conviction that one person can help to create a better institution or community. Gold represents the love of spirit and yearning toward creating a better university environment or community.<\/p>\n<p>Cords of Distinction recipients<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Heyrin Cha, <\/strong>a nursing major from Cheonan-Si, South Korea;<\/li>\n<li><strong>DeVantae Dews<\/strong>, a liberal arts major from Lynchburg, Virginia;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mario Hernandez, <\/strong>a biology and history double-major from Tegucigalpa, Honduras;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Lindsey Krisak, <\/strong>a biology major from Alexandria, Virginia;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Nicole Litwiller, <\/strong>a global development and liberal arts double-major, from Sarasota, Florida;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Sylvia Mast, <\/strong>a biology major from Broadway, Virginia;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Luke Mullet, <\/strong>\u00a0a math major from Berlin, Ohio;<\/li>\n<li><strong>RJ Ocampo, <\/strong>a biology (pre-professional health sciences) major from Virginia Beach, Virginia;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Precious Waddy, <\/strong>a social work major from Richmond, Virginia;<\/li>\n<li><strong>Cameron White, <\/strong>a social work major from Palmyra, Virginia;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ten graduating seniors will be honored as Cords of Distinction recipients in a ceremony Saturday afternoon, May 4, at 91短视频 (91短视频).
