Ten graduating seniors are 91短视频\u2019s 2024 Cords of Distinction<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0recipients. They will wear blue and gold cords signifying their achievement during the 2024 Commencement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Faculty, staff, administrators and fellow students nominated the recipients, who were cited for their \u201csignificant and verifiable impact\u201d on the university and on student life; for their contributions to developing the institution\u2019s positive image; for substantial contributions to the Harrisonburg\/Rockingham County area and beyond; for their high academic and social standing; and their embodiment of 91短视频\u2019s shared values of Christian discipleship, community, service and peacebuilding.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The cords are blue and gold. Blue represents strength of conviction that one person can help to create a better institution or community. Gold represents the love of spirit and yearning toward creating a better university environment or community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 2024 Cords of Distinction recipients are:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2014Hannah Landes Beck<\/strong>, a liberal arts major from Linville, Virginia;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2014Ariel O. Morales Bonilla, <\/strong>with majors in political science and history and a minor in Spanish from Richmond, Virginia;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2014Betty Debebe,<\/strong> a biology major with minors in business administration and psychology from Gerji, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2014Indigo Gott, <\/strong>with majors in music: interdisciplinary studies and social work from Bluffton, Ohio;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2014Rubi N. Long,<\/strong> a social work major from Washington, D.C.;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2014Ashley N. Mellinger, <\/strong>a nursing major from Harleysville, Pennsylvania;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2014Sarah E. Moore,<\/strong> a psychology major from Weyers Cave, Virginia;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2014Luz Belen Hernandez Rosario,<\/strong> a biology major and chemistry minor from Harrisonburg, Virginia;<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2014Rachael N. Saeli,<\/strong> a social work major from Towson, Maryland;<\/p>\n\n\n\n
