The European Collection in the Menno Simons Historical Library contains many fine examples of rare books and marginalia. In this presentation, Simone Horst will share the findings from her summer sabbatical spent investigating the 16th-19th century volumes in the European Collection. She will highlight what she learned about the variety of bindings and provenance present in the collection, and discuss their pertinence for our modern era.Â
