Mennonite Church USA, Mennonite Central Committee Central States and Eastern Mennonite Seminary provided an in-person conflict transformation training to 17 participants on Sept. 26-28, 2024, in Akron, Pennsylvania. The training was a potential model for future training sessions that will be offered more widely in the next year or two. The training was led by Lorraine Stutzman Amstutz, and Michelle Armster, with input from Rev. Dr. Jacob Alan Cook.

91¶ÌÊÓÆµ community joins Mennonite Action march to D.C.

A group of Mennonites and interfaith allies—many of them students, faculty, staff, alumni, and other members of the 91¶ÌÊÓÆµ and EMS community—marched more than 135 miles from Harrisonburg, Virginia, to Washington, D.C., on foot last month calling on lawmakers to support a cease-fire in Gaza.

The Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) in Peacemaking and Social Change program is an advanced, professionally oriented degree that will equip graduates to lead in faith-based settings, including in congregations, nonprofits, community organizing, and some teaching roles.

Power of agape love, kindness at heart of 106th Commencement address

Business leader and philanthropist Jose Koshy, class of ’76, delivered a Commencement address on Sunday, May 5, 2024, about the power of agape love and kindness. Chidi Ihezuoh, an MA in Christian leadership graduate, shared thanks for the relationships forged with faculty, friends and classmates at Eastern Mennonite Seminary.
