When (Charles Town, W.V./Washington) nailed his fifth three pointer of the night with 1:19 left in overtime, 91¶ÌÊÓÆµ fans had a good feeling their Runnin Royals had finally gotten over the hump. The junior then finished off the night with a pair of free throws with 3.5 seconds left, pushing Eastern Mennonite to a 101-95 win over Shenandoah University.

91¶ÌÊÓÆµ's basketball women used a 25-point second period to take control in a 74-45 win at Shenandoah Wednesday night. The Royals held SU to a pair of single-digit frames, including in the second, to run away with the road win and move into a three-way tie for third place in the ODAC.

91¶ÌÊÓÆµ's basketball women turned smothering defense into a win on Saturday, beating Hollins by a final of 44-34 in Yoder Arena. The Royals shut out their visitors through the opening period and never trailed as they improved to 10-6 overall and 5-3 in the ODAC.

The Royals split their second straight weekend homestand on Saturday, settling at 2-2 on the year. After a quick sweep of Lancaster Bible in the nightcap, Eastern Mennonite is now 2-0 against Division III competition this season.

The Runnin Royals continue to put up points. The issue has come on the defensive end, where injuries seem to have hurt the men the most. Such was the case on Saturday when 91¶ÌÊÓÆµ put up 82 points, including a 15-for-37 showing from outside, but still got outscored in a 90-82 loss at Randolph.
