91¶ÌÊÓÆµ's young basketball women are learning an important lesson – how to win ODAC games on the road. The Royals gutted out a 68-59 decision at Randolph College on Saturday, earning their second straight conference road victory and fourth overall.

One had to figure 91¶ÌÊÓÆµ's basketball men were due for an "off" game. Unfortunately, it paired with an "on" game for host Lynchburg College, resulting in a 104-74 loss Saturday afternoon.

With a large freshman class and new coaches at the helm, the 91¶ÌÊÓÆµ track & field program is struck with a level of competitiveness that will continue the solid foundation that has been laid for the team.

91¶ÌÊÓÆµ's basketball women displayed a nice inside-outside game Wednesday night, earning a 60-50 road win at Hollins University. The Royals hit eight three-pointers, balanced with a career effort from center (Dumfries, Va./Potomac), as they improved to 7-4 / 2-1 ODAC.

The pre-game hype for Wednesday's rivalry game between 91¶ÌÊÓÆµ and Bridgewater never paid dividends on the floor, as the Runnin Royals scored the first 10 points on their home court and never looked back in a convincing 87-60 win.

The Royals tied a program record for free throws as they used the charity stripe to pull away from visiting Frostburg State on Monday, 81-70. The final 11-point lead was the largest of the game as 91¶ÌÊÓÆµ's basketball women won for the fifth time in their past six tries.

91¶ÌÊÓÆµ's basketball women used a balanced attack to roll over visiting Mary Baldwin University Friday afternoon in Harrisonburg, 87-33. Eastern Mennonite grabbed 31 offensive rebounds and never trailed in improving to 5-4.

The Runnin' Royals played D-I James Madison University to a 37-37 draw in the first half, and were still within 53-50 midway through the second, before the Dukes pulled away for an 82-65 final.
